This privacy policy explains how Bill Splitter (the "App") handles your data.
Data the App Collects
This app does not access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, health data, or any other sensitive iOS capability. The only data that leaves your device is described below.
### Anonymous usage analytics
To understand which features matter and keep the app reliable, the app records anonymous usage events (for example, "a split was calculated") via Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service. These events contain no personal information — never bill amounts, the names of people or groups, or anything you typed — and are not linked to your identity or used for tracking. You can turn this off at any time in the app's Settings.

### What is stored, and where
Bill amounts, the people and groups you create, your split history and your
settings are written to local app storage on your device only. They are not
uploaded to us, are not backed up to any server we run, and are erased when you
delete the app. Settings includes a Delete All Data action that erases
splits and groups immediately.
### Permissions
The app requests no device permissions. It does not access the camera,
microphone, photos, contacts, location, health data, or notifications.
### One-time purchase
Pro is available either as a yearly auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time
lifetime purchase. The lifetime purchase supports Family Sharing, so members of
your Apple Family group can unlock Pro from your single purchase. Family Sharing
is handled entirely by Apple; we receive only the anonymized entitlement status.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Subscription and in-app purchase processing is handled by Apple via the App Store and by RevenueCat, our subscription analytics provider. We receive anonymized purchase and subscription status information necessary to deliver the features you've paid for and to provide customer support. We do not see your full Apple ID or payment card details.

Data the App Does NOT Collect
- We do not collect personally identifying information beyond what Apple provides as part of receipt validation.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not track your activity across other apps or websites.
Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Your Rights
You may delete the app at any time to stop all data collection. To request deletion of any data associated with your purchases, contact us at the support address below.
