Bedleaf Privacy Policy
Bedleaf is a garden planner. Your gardens belong to you. We do not sell data, show ads, use advertising identifiers or track you across apps and websites. You do not need an account to use Bedleaf.
Your garden records
Garden names, beds, plantings, dates, tasks, notes, photos and harvest records are stored on your device. We do not receive them.
Optional iCloud sync
If you turn on Sync with iCloud in Settings, your garden records and photos are also stored in your own private iCloud database, provided by Apple, so they stay the same on your devices signed in to the same Apple Account. This data is protected by your Apple Account and we cannot read it. Sync is off until you turn it on. Turning it off keeps everything on your device. You can delete the synced copy from your device's iCloud storage settings. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Bedleaf Pro is sold through Apple. Apple processes payment; we never see your payment details. To confirm and restore your purchase, Bedleaf uses RevenueCat, which receives purchase and subscription status together with a random identifier created by the app. It does not receive your name, email address or garden records. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Anonymous usage analytics
To learn which features help gardeners and to keep the app reliable, Bedleaf sends anonymous usage events to Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service. An event names an action, such as "a bed was created" or "the paywall was shown", with a fixed label such as the plan type, plus the app version, system version and a random identifier created for this installation. Events never include garden names, notes, photos, crop names you type, purchase details or location. They are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking or advertising. See Aptabase's privacy policy.
Location, satellite view and camera
- Location is requested only when you tap "Use my location" to centre the optional satellite backdrop. It is used on your device and is not sent to us.
- Satellite view loads imagery from Apple Maps for the area you choose. Apple's handling of map requests is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. A still image of your placed area is saved on your device for offline use.
- Camera is used only when you tap "Take photo" to add a picture to a note or harvest record. Photos stay on your device, and in your private iCloud database if you turn on sync.
Reminders
Garden reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are not sent through our servers.
Children
Bedleaf is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your choices
You can export your gardens from Settings at any time. Deleting the app removes the data on that device. If you used iCloud sync, you can remove the synced copy in your device's iCloud storage settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
